Effective 15 July 2026
Thank you for visiting valeriaferrari.com. This website exists to help couples from all over the world plan an authentic wedding in Italy — and that sometimes means you share personal information with us, for example when you write to us or subscribe to our newsletter.
We wrote this policy to help you understand what information we collect, how we use it and what choices you have. We have done our best to explain things in a simple, clear way. Questions and comments about this policy are always welcome.
Who is responsible for your data
Data controller: Valeria Ferrari, representative for LEYDEN S.R.L.
Registered office: Lonato del Garda, 25017 (BS), Italy
VAT no. IT04410010989
Email: [email protected]
What information we collect
1. Information you give us. You can browse this website without providing any personal data. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it to us:
- Contact / enquiry form: your name, email address, the subject and the content of your message (including any details about your wedding you decide to share).
- Newsletter and wedding guide: your email address, when you subscribe to receive our Italian wedding guide and occasional planning tips and inspiration.
2. Technical information. Like almost every website, when you visit us some information is created and logged automatically:
- Log data: your IP address, browser type and settings, the date and time of your visit and the pages you view.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small text files used to make the site work and to understand how it is used. We also store basic campaign information (for example, which advertisement or link brought you here) to understand which of our marketing activities are useful.
How and why we use your information
- To answer you. When you contact us, we use your details to reply to your enquiry and to take the steps needed before a possible contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- To send you the guide and the newsletter. Only with your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR). Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe; you can withdraw your consent at any time.
- To run and improve the website. We have a legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) in keeping the site secure, measuring how it is used and understanding whether our marketing works.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Analytics and third-party services
To operate this website we rely on a small number of trusted service providers, which may process some technical data on our behalf:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage statistics (your IP address is anonymized).
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measurement of our advertising campaigns.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and protection of the website.
- Google Fonts — display of the website's typefaces.
- Amazon Web Services (EU, Ireland) — hosting of the website and its database.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
When we share information
We share your information only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent needed to run this website — or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request, or to protect the safety, rights or property of any person.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy: enquiry messages for as long as necessary to handle your request (and any legal obligations that follow), and your newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe. When we no longer need your information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect your information
All traffic between your browser and this website is encrypted (TLS). Personal data is stored on reputable, EU-based infrastructure, and access to it is limited to the people who need it to answer you and manage the website.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of consent applicable in their country. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area (and in many other places under similar laws), you can at any time:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete your data;
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- ask to receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave (for example, unsubscribe from the newsletter);
- lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
To exercise any of these rights, just write to [email protected]. We normally respond within 30 days.
Cookies: your choices
Your browser lets you control cookies and other locally stored data — you can block or delete them from your browser settings at any time. If you prefer not to be included in Google Analytics statistics, Google also offers an opt-out browser add-on.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; when we do, we will publish the new version on this page. If a change is substantial, we may post a notice on the website or seek your consent where the law requires it.
