Planning Melissa and Luca’s wedding was a fascinating journey alongside two people with incredibly full schedules, very little time and very high expectations. Their trust in me was absolute, and thanks to that connection, we were able to create an event that truly represented them, without compromises.

For me, every wedding begins with a vision. When I present the first mood boards to my couples, I like to give them an evocative name. For Melissa and Luca, the starting point was Purple Rain: a creative concept built on a palette that perfectly harmonised the natural tones of the location with a touch of strong character. Green as the foundation, blending seamlessly into the landscape, and a deep purple, almost floating in the air like drops of colour fallen from the sky. The result was a sophisticated elegance, enriched by details that reflected their strong and determined personalities.

At first, I considered adding black, a colour that could have represented their determination and style well, but the bride completely ruled it out. So I looked for another way to express their essence: bold yet balanced colours, refined materials and a design capable of combining elegance and intensity.

Melissa and Luca wanted a wedding that respected a certain formal protocol, without losing the spontaneity and joy of celebration. We therefore created a fully coordinated graphic design, starting from a dedicated website that guided guests with practical information and an aesthetic consistent with the event.

The dress code was included in the invitations, with an attention to detail that made every element part of a coherent and immersive experience. The sense of formality took nothing away from the pleasure of the day. Guests felt welcomed, cared for and immersed in a refined atmosphere that never felt rigid, where joy remained at the centre of everything.

For the graphic suite, I wanted a visual story that paid tribute to the special place where they got married. We chose hand-drawn illustrations representing iconic locations of Lake Garda.

The invitations featured sketches of both the church and the venue, while each table bore the name of a lakeside town, with a table sign enriched by an exclusive illustration. Behind it all, a pattern inspired by William Morris, the celebrated British designer who revolutionised decorative art with his intricate, nature-inspired motifs. A refined detail that added depth and character to the entire graphic project.

The shapes of the floral arrangements were designed to maintain a sense of classic elegance without stiffness, with compositions that blended perfectly with the colour palette. The purple, chosen to add personality, merged gently with green and light touches, creating an atmosphere that conveyed refinement, energy and the simple beauty of being together.

Looking back at the images of that day, what strikes me most is the harmony we achieved: a perfect balance between structure and spontaneity, elegance and character, dream and reality.
